This is the second project that I attempted out of this great knitting book that I got for Christmas. (The first was the birdfeeder) Yes, the project is a hat for my dog, and I would say it turned out quite well. The only difference is that I only put one flower thingy on the hat. Just thought it looked cuter that way. It only took me about……5 hours? Not too bad. It was my first experience binding off a portion in the middle, separating half onto a stitch holder and then eventually re-casting on stitches. Not nearly as hard as I thought it could be. The main part of the hat was just a k2,p2 rib for most of it. The “flower” part was just 1”x10” stockinette stitch (which naturally curls on the edges) and then that is rolled up and sewn on to the hat. Apparently I need to be more confident about my knitting skills. Or be more adventurous in what I make at least.
